Bryan Danielson is surely the biggest protagonist of tonight’s AEW All In London, the long-awaited pay-per-view that All Elite Wrestling is holding at Wembley Stadium. Danielson is facing Swerve Strickland for the company’s World Championship in what could be the final match of his career. A defeat would force “The American Dragon” to hang up his boots. And surely the match was an exciting one that got fans up on their feet.

However, with all the thrill also comes the worry about Danielson’s health. It has been no secret that the American Dragon has been suffering from neck issues again and would have to go under the knife. Something that would force the former WWE star to consider retiring from full-time wrestling soon.

Nevertheless, the imminent whispers of his retirement quickly garnered momentum earlier during the match as a spot made it look like Danielson broke his neck. Strickland dropped the American Dragon on his neck to make sure that the pro wrestling legend left the squared circle for good.

Bryan Danielson's neck injury—A career-ending blow or just another hurdle for the wrestling legend?

Have an interesting take?

Bryan Danielson’s path to All In was planned since the spring season, at least. He received the necessary approval to fight Jeff Jarrett several weeks ago and in All In, but not at Blood & Guts, the match for which he was originally planned. All this has made the company aware that Bryan Danielson may have fewer matches left in the tank than expected after All In if it is decided that he defeats Swerve Strickland.

As for his contract, it is legitimate that Bryan Danielson has been working for AEW for the last three weeks without a contract. In All Elite Wrestling, they expect that some kind of agreement will be closed with the former WWE star once he finishes this stage of his career to continue involved with AEW since he wants to continue contributing as he can after stopping wrestling.
