CM Punk has become synonymous with being the headline of any AEW drama in the past few months. Ever since his return to pro wrestling, there hasn’t been much of smooth sailing for the Straight Edge superstar. The same can be said for Tony Khan’s company, which has taken major blows from the former WWE Champion and continues to drag top stars like Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho.

Just this past week, Punk revealed a lot of details about his final match in the company. He dragged the names of AEW’s top stars like Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho, and even the President, Tony Khan. But now three-time AEW World Champion, Moxley, has something to say.

Sitting down with his wife, Renee Paquette, for her The Sessions podcast, Moxley laid bare his thoughts about AEW’s situation. From the start, the host didn’t go easy on Moxley. She asked him outright about his response to Punk’s Instagram story and his side of the story. Unsurprisingly, Moxley didn’t bother with it, just like his wrestling persona.

He replied, “No because nothing has unfolded. It’s f***g annoying. Just because somebody said some stupid sh* on social media, that’s not news. You bring it up, I don’t wanna talk about it. I don’t want to get dragged for dumb sh. I could f***g unload on a lot of f***g people. But I’m not gonna f***g sink to that level.

There’s no telling when this entire saga of drama will end, but one thing is certain; Punk’s story has divided the fans and got them hooked to what will unfold next. Only time will tell how long will this continue.

Punk’s AEW run turns sourer

In a fan Q&A, top wrestling reporter, Dave Meltzer was asked about the Punk vs Moxley III match from AEW Dynamite. Meltzer replied by saying that Punk had agreed to it. But then, Punk wrote down his side of the story, criticizing Moxley, Jericho, and Khan in the process.

Given his previous behavior with The Elite and Hangman Adam Page, fans are turning to the side of AEW, but there are still some who believe his narrative as well.

While Punk’s return was supposed to be the greatest trump card for AEW, this entire situation has just turned into bad press for the pro wrestling company.
