As promised, Main Event Jey Uso returned to Monday Night RAW at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The younger of the Uso twins opened the September 4 episode of the flagship brand. However, just minutes into his pro, Uso was visited by Sami Zayn. The former WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champion had a rather unfortunate update for the 38-year-old, one that had a connection to former AEW talent CM Punk.

Fans of The Bloodline and the WWE Universe will remember the camaraderie between Uso and Zayn. As stable mates, these two got along well, and even with Zayn revolting against the others, he found support from Jey Uso.
Naturally, upon his return, it was Zayn who chose to come down and welcome him. However, Zayn also had a word of caution for his old friend.
“One thing is definitely true. There are a lot of people in that locker room that are gonna have a very big problem with you being here now. That’s the truth,” Zayn told Uso. A few days ago, the AEW terminated CM Punk’s contract for his involvement in a backstage brawl and causing unrest in the locker room.

He also informed him that Kevin Owens is one of the people who will have a problem with Uso’s presence, adding that the former WWE Universal Champion wasn’t present tonight.

However, despite all the warnings, Zayn said he was happy to see his friend come back and even gifted a wholesome moment as the two hugged each other, effectively reuniting.
