Is Bryan Danielson's wrestling career in jeopardy due to his recent health issues?

During an episode of AEW Dynamite earlier this month, Bryan Danielson made a memorable appearance in the ring to address fans and share an emotional message. The American Dragon recalled his moments in Greenville. This was the place where his engagement photos were taken with his spouse, Brie Bella. Touched, he spoke about his promise to his daughter to retire from wrestling full-time when she turned 7.

Danielson made it clear that this would be his last chance to win the AEW World Championship. So, despite medical advice and concern from his family, Bryan is determined to give it his all at All In. Then Strickland interfered the promo to add some lines of his own. The AEW World Champion told him that while he respects Danielson, he would be keeping the title to himself. In fact, he would be making sure the former WWE champion never gets to fight again. However, little did he know that Danielson would actually make it the stake for the match. He said, if he loses, he’ll hang his boots for good as a full-time wrestler.

Well, it looks like he will be losing the match, and it all might turn out to be true because of a major revelation. Bryan Danielson is two weeks away from facing Swerve Strickland in the All-In main event for the AEW World Championship. He could win this title for the first time, but his career will come to an end if he doesn’t get the win. In addition, he is dealing with neck problems that have prevented him from fighting with any regularity in recent months.

Speaking about these issues in an interview with Jim Ross on AEW Collision, Bryan Danielson revealed that he will probably have to go under the knife before the end of the year, so it is clear that his situation is far from the best. He said, “Even the way I’m feeling right now… I mean, the odds are I’m gonna have to get neck surgery before the end of this year. That’s the reality of it… That’s something that I’ve accepted is coming down the pike relatively soon.”

These statements by Bryan Danielson reflect the reality of his situation and are not just something that is being used for his history in All Elite Wrestling for All In. Unfortunately, the former WWE star is not in perfect condition, and while it is true that his career may not end in All-In if he wins, his full-time career will end no matter what this year.

Bryan Danielson may not wrestle until All In 2024

Have an interesting take?

Bryan Danielson has dealt with several injuries throughout his time in AEW. This has prevented him from participating in certain events. The highlight was last year’s edition of All In, and less than a month before All In 2024, in which he will fight in the main event against Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship, Danielson is far from his best.

A few days ago, AEW published an interview with Bryan Danielson on YouTube in which he mentioned that Dr. Sampson recommended him not to wrestle until All In. Well, Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed on Fightful Select that this really happened because Danielson is dealing with physical problems and doctors have put very strong restrictions on him in the weeks and months leading up to All In. This has meant that Bryan has not been able to participate in some creative plans that were for him. Therefore, Bryan Danielson is not going to arrive at the All In at a good time. So, what do you think? Should this be Danielson’s last match? What’s next for Danielson? Let us know in the comments.
