When a pro-wrestler jumps ships, it almost always sets a trend. Till now, pro-wrestlers were moving from WWE to AEW, until Cody Rhodes became the first major name to move from AEW to WWE.
Now, him coming back to WWE wasn’t the issue. Any pro-wrestler not bound by any contracts has the liberty to work with any promotion. It’s what he said during an interview with Ariel Harwani that can trigger the trend.

He revealed things about WWE that are seldom heard of. Usually, when pro-wrestlers leave WWE, there’s quite a bit of bitterness towards the company. But, Cody Rhodes had something different to say altogether.
Speaking about WWE, he said, “I can say though, that the schedule here, at the least the schedule I had the first time, it’s not for the non-committed, you can’t be one foot. It is a full-time commitment. You’re not getting paid to work one day a week. That’s not knocking anybody who is. That might be the biggest shock and change. The structure here is positive. It’s a wonderful structure.”
Now, he has already revealed that he wants to finish what he once started in WWE. But, he doesn’t want to be Stardust anymore. This was a special request he put in with WWE.

Cody Rhodes has immense praise for WWE
During the interview, The American Nightmare put Nick Khan and WWE on a pedestal.
“WWE and Nick Khan specifically made it so easy. There’s a bus, your family, your wife, your daughter, red carpet. With that red carpet means it’s time to get to work. I’m curious, you know, how I’ll do it, but I’ll never do it in terms of leveraging. I can only give honest advice because everyone’s path is different”, he further opened up.Considering the praises, it could come across that Rhodes has turned ‘Judas’. But, he’s trying hard to define his own journey and only give an example of what he’s experiencing.
Nevertheless, when a top pro-wrestler speaks highly of a company, younger ones often follow. And, let’s not forget that WWE is a giant in the business. Any aspiring young pro-wrestler will certainly want to work with the company.
