Did CM Punk just reignite the Jack Perry controversy with his backstage reference?

The conflict between CM Punk and Jack Perry was one of the most significant events in the wrestling world in recent years. This incident prompted AEW to dismiss Punk in the first place, and as a result of this occurrence, AEW experienced a significant backlash. Despite the fact that Perry and AEW appear to have moved on from this issue, CM Punk continues to tease it by casually addressing it.

WWE under Triple H’s stead is doing several things that are making the product more controversial and edgier. We say this because Perry has been mentioned several times in WWE, and CM Punk hinted about the incident on this week’s Raw.

Punk was in the backstage area and briefly spoke with Adam Pearce about his future. During this time, we could see Punk was utilizing his body language a little more than normal. Not only that, but the Second City Saint also made a hand motion that was part of the Perry and AEW debate.

Have an interesting take?

After SummerSlam, every WWE fan assumed that Punk and McIntyre’s feud was over and that Rollins would be the next opponent for the Best in the World. WWE appears to have another plan in mind, as we saw that both former champions would take distinct paths in the future. Punk wants to keep the rivalry with Drew McIntyre going, while Rollins is now embroiled in a little feud with Bronson Reed, who attacked him recently.

So it’s safe to assume that they’ll both have a couple more matches shortly. Until these matches happen and settle things for both of them, Punk and McIntyre will have another match to settle the score. Although we can presume that after that, Rollins and Punk will be free to finally have their dream battle against one other. It will be intriguing to watch what happens to these two superstars and how WWE will handle a battle between them that has been anticipated for over a year.
