Last year in September, CM Punk had a backstage brawl with ‘The Elite’ after the AEW All Out PPV. This led Tony Khan to suspend both parties indefinitely. Kenny Omega and ‘The Young Bucks’ returned to the weekly shows at AEW Full Gear on November 19. Whereas, Punk’s future in the promotion still loomed in the dark.

However, the internet world erupted last month with the news of AEW planning to bring him back. Inside reports suggested he would return somewhere around June next month. And now some more inside information from a trusted source revealed the name of his potential opponent for his return match.
