The return of CM Punk has rattled the wrestling world to its very core. Never did we imagine ‘The Best in the World’ setting foot in a wrestling ring ever again. So all credits to All Elite Wrestling for managing to bring back a fan favorite wrestler.
Since we did not think Punk would be back in the squared circle, we certainly did not fathom we would get to watch his finisher, the Go To Sleep as well. AEW made that into reality as well.

CM Punk was recently attacked by Daniel Garcia and 2point0 on AEW Dynamite. This happened when CM Punk was addressing his hometown crowd in Chicago, Illinois. With the odds against his favor, Punk took matters into his own hands and got physical for the first time in almost seven years.
However, the last person we would guess, came to save the day. Sting and Darby Allin would come out to even the odds. With only days to go before their official match at AEW All Out, the spectacle was one to watch. The segment was made even better when all three men performed their finishers one after the other in quick succession.
This was the first time in literally years, CM Punk hit his GTS on an opponent. We won’t lie, we got goosebumps.

We still can’t wrap our head around the fact that CM Punk will finally throw hands in a wrestling match. Whether he wins or loses is a different matter, but just watching him in the ring will be a tear-jerking moment for many. As it stands, this Sunday at AEW All Out, we might see Punk hit Allin with the “GTS”.
