Surprise for Chris Jericho
‘Le Champion‘ has faced countless opponents in his career, so remembering them all isn’t an easy feat. A few days ago, the ‘Lionheart’ took to Instagram to share a video that fellow wrestler Shane ‘The Hurricane’ Helms sent to him.
The video is from Y2J’s time in ECW. In the video, 2 Cold Scorpio hits a Shooting Star Press, but his elbow hits awkwardly on Jericho’s face. This is just the beginning of the story!
Jericho revealed that he sent the video to a few friends to show how ugly the landing looked, including Tony Khan. The AEW President and CEO got back to the ‘Demo God’ almost instantly and told him he was in the crowd for that show back then!
Not just that, he even pointed out to the spot he was sitting in that night in the ECW Arena 24 years ago!

Jericho’s time in ECW
Chris Jericho was a brief part of ECW in the year 1996. He wrestled some top names in ECW such as Taz, RVD, Sabu, Cactus Jack, 2 Cold Scorpio, and more.
He also captured the ECW World Television Championship from Pitbull #2 before leaving the company in August of that year.
After ECW, Jericho wrestled in World Championship Wrestling for three years before leaving the promotion in 1999, a couple years before its eventual demise and buyout by Vince McMahon‘s WWE.

‘Le Champion’ then came to the WWE where he interrupted The Rock, and the rest is history. Jericho had a legendary Hall of Fame worthy career in the WWE, but one thing from Vince McMahon pushed him to sign with AEW.
The ‘Demo God’ is having one of the best runs of his pro wrestling career in AEW and with him being content with his performance, it is highly likely that he hangs up his boots in AEW. What do you think?
