MJF has shown the professional wrestling world how good of a heel he is. Many fans have compared the ‘Salt of the Earth’ to EC3, and rightly so, given all the similarities between them. However, Chris Jericho has compared MJF to a much bigger name.

Chris Jericho compares MJF to Kurt Angle

Chris Jericho recently joined Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, where he talked about a range of things, including Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Brandon Walker asked Jericho if MJF reminds him of anyone, and that is when he compared MJF to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Jericho said some have said he’s like Roddy Piper or even like the young version of himself, but he doesn’t think that.

He said, “The point is, he’s none of those things and all those things. This is a guy, umm, he reminds me a lot of Kurt Angle.

“What I mean by that is he’s a guy that picked up wrestling so quick, not just in the ring but character-wise,” Jericho continued.

The ‘Demo God’ showered more praise on the young MJF. He said that most 24-year-olds (same as MJF’s age) do not understand the importance of character in wrestling.

Jericho added that having a character is far more important than any move, and MJF gets that. He also added that MJF’s background of being a child actor, musical experience, and more allows him to expand his character even more.

‘Le Champion’ may have praised MJF, but he definitely won’t go forward. After all, he never expected such an ambush at the hands of MJF’s faction during the Inner Circle’s War Council last week on Dynamite.

MJF is undoubtedly a top-class heel. Everything he does, may it be in the ring or outside, oozes his cocky, heel character. The best part about MJF is he never breaks kayfabe, something that the pro wrestling world has lost.

The ”Salt of the Earth’ never even breaks kayfabe in front of the most adorable of fans. Now, that’s dedication for the profession and craft he’s in.

We 100% agree with Jericho and truly believe that Maxwell Jacob Friedman will be the biggest heel in pro wrestling in the next couple of years.
