It is no secret that AEW has been putting on stellar shows each week. AEW Dynamite airs on Wednesdays and draws more viewers than NXT. Dynamite scored a 0.36 in comparison to NXT’s 0.20, topping the 18-49 demographic. Now it seems it is going head to head with Raw as well. After last night’s RAW, Chris Jericho has been very vocal about the AEW “win.”

He tweeted that AEW Dynamite beat WWE RAW in 18-34 demographic scoring .29 to .22. Jericho has taken the “ratings war” and incorporated it into his AEW gimmick, calling himself “Demo God.”

This rating war is reminiscent of WWE(then WWF) vs. WCW clash. Like WCW, AEW is an up and coming wrestling promotion with veterans and new talents, and exciting storylines. Fans are tuning in every week for the exciting matches.

On the other side, WWE has brought in new writers for the weekly shows. According to reports, at least five writers are working on a single show’s storylines. Even if the RAW ratings are low compared to Dynamite, the show’s weekly ratings are going up.

Raw has been getting better despite what Chris Jericho says

This week there were many storyline developments, including the reformation of Riott Squad and Randy Orton’s attack on Ric Flair. The former is an exciting development in the women’s division. The latter adds an angle to the Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton match for the WWE Championship.

On this week’s episode of SmackDown, fans expect to see the rivalry between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt, and King Corbin and Matt Riddle.

As far as the Chris Jericho fiasco is concerned, the former WWE wrestler is known for taking his rivalries onto social media for impact in the storylines. Along with WWE, Chris Jericho is also feuding with his former Smoky Mountain Wrestling Boss, Jim Cornette.
