AEW will have its newest TV program on Saturday, June 17, 2023. The inaugural show will take place at United Center, Chicago, Illinois, the hometown of CM Punk. Tony Khan announced the former two-time AEW World Champion’s return to boost ticket sales. However, that didn’t turn out to be the case and now as per a recent report, WWE isn’t too bothered by Punk’s return to Tony Khan’s promotion.

A recent report suggests WWE doesn’t “really cares” about CM Punk and AEW Collision

The Best in the World left WWE back in 2014 and took a seven years hiatus from wrestling. Nevertheless, like Punk’s AEW debut created cause for concern for WWE, the Stamford-based promotion isn’t fazed by it this time.

Recently, Ringside News shared a report in which they claimed reaching out to “a tenured member of the WWE team” for comments on Punk’s return to AEW.

The report stated, “We were told that, ‘no one really cares’ about the AEW and CM Punk situation within WWE. In fact, we were explicitly told that, ‘Punk is a disaster, and Tony has injured his own company in so many ways by bringing him back.’”

Moreover, the tenured WWE member also added saying that WWE is currently, “too busy keeping this momentum going to worry about Tony and Punk’s failures.”

The Stamford-based company has rarely taken a shot at AEW as most of the time it’s vice-versa. But after all these years, WWE doesn’t think AEW is a potential threat and they are focused on their future plans.
