MJF is a top heel in AEW right now and he has time and again proven this with his antics and promos. The 26-year-old has made a name for himself as a stand out heel loved and hated by the fans at the same time. However, his recent heel act at the AEW Revolution has caused a backlash among the wrestling universe. He made a kid cry during the show that has made quite a headline during the pay-per-view main event.

The AEW World champion did the top heelish thing at the AEW Revolution. While he was in the crowd, MJF took a bottle of water from a woman and threw the water at her kid.

It seems the kid was MJF fan, as he was sitting wearing his version of AEW World championship. As per Sean Ross Sapp’s tweet, the kid started crying after this act and he had to be taken backstage to smoothen things.

Sapp wrote, “It seems like the kid MJF threw the drink on wasn’t a plant. He was very upset.
@WilliamRBR went and got him an Acclaimed foam finger. Some others from AEW talked to the child to help smooth things over. Amanda Huber is sitting with him now”

The mother of the child was also furious at MJF’s act during the match. Moreover, the fans have also shared their support of the mother.

Wrestling universe, not a fan of MJF throwing water on a kid

There are concerns that since this spot wasn’t planned, the AEW Champion could get into trouble because of his actions. Moreover, there were rumors of him wanting to join WWE next year, but if this case gets serious, then it would be difficult for MJF to step in a WWE ring.
