SummerSlam, the biggest party of the summer, kicked off with one of the most anticipated matches of the night. Rhea Ripley went against the woman who took her out for months and tried to steal her Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan. However, while the match was intense, with Mami showing off just why she is one of the most dominant women in the division, Mysterio had something up his sleeve. Not only did Dirty Dom cause Mami the match and her chance at regaining her title, but he kissed Morgan after weeks of claiming innocence.

Much like his previous attempts to ensure Morgan didn’t win, Dirty Dom got involved in the match. While his intention was to ensure Mami didn’t use a steel chair to get disqualified, this backfired. Mirroring what happened to Becky Lynch, Morgan used the chair to pick up the win.

While it looked like Mysterio had messed up once again after the match was over, things took a wild turn. Ripley looked defeated, but the kiss Dom laid on Morgan took her to another level. Ripley couldn’t believe that Dirty Dom had played her since last week.

Taking to social media, Mami’s real-life husband, AEW’s Buddy Matthews, said, “TK can I help Mami real quick?” Recently, Matthews was considering whether or not to re-sign with AEW or move back to the WWE. However, he decided to stay with Tony Khan’s company. This was just a cheeky post by the AEW star, as he knows Mami can look after herself.

As Matthews’ AEW contract ended, fans speculated he would move to the WWE to get involved in the Mami storyline. They even mocked the star once the news broke that he resigned from AEW. Now that Dom is teaming up with Morgan, Ripley has been left alone. However, Damian Priest is still there.

Rhea Ripley was not the only one to lose someone at SummerSlam

During the build-up to SummerSlam, cracks were showing between Priest and Finn Balor. SummerSlam saw the implosion of Judgment Day. Not only did Ripley lose Mysterio, but Preist was betrayed by Balor. This caused Gunther to win the WWE World Heavyweight title. Now, fans wonder if JD McDonagh and Carlito will side with Priest and Mami or Balor and Mysterio. There are also theories that Balor and Morgan are working together.

The speculated storyline is that Mami and Priest will recreate the Terror Twins. Doing so, they will get revenge on those who wronged them.
