Is Tony Khan losing control of AEW with all these backstage fights and criticisms?

Britt Baker is just weeks away from having one of the biggest matches of her career when she faces Mercedes Mone in a TBS Championship match at AEW All In London II. Heading into this fight, Britt Baker has had some behind-the-scenes issues that have been making headlines for quite a while. As per the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, Britt Baker was suspended for several days due to her behind-the-scenes behavior.

Apparently, she had a problem with Alicia Atout, which led the disciplinary committee to act. The AEW wrestler was suspended for a week or two and fined by the company’s disciplinary committee. It all occurred due to some backstage heat behind the scenes on July 17 on Dynamite, where Baker allegedly said something about MJF. Alicia Atout, MJF’s girlfriend, heard it and told MJF about it all, who then confronted Baker. This led to an investigation by the human resources department as well as the disciplinary committee.

All Elite Wrestling is taking personal problems between talents very seriously. Especially because of what happened with CM Punk in the past and their backstage fights. First with several members of The Elite and later with Jack Perry. This entire ordeal finally led to her suspension. However, ever since, Britt Baker has been taking subtle jibes at Tony Khan and her promotion.

In her Tweet, she shared a picture that read, “You ever heard a rumour about yourself and actually wanted to hear more. Like no way…..what did I do next?!” She also tagged AEW to let them know that she was targeting them.
