We saw many fans and wrestling figures sharing their respects for Vince McMahon. However, the owner of WWE’s most prominent rival company AEW, Tony Khan, had something different to say rather than Mr. McMahon or WWE.
Khan shared a tweet in which he highlighted he is the longest CEO in pro wrestling now.
Thanks to you wrestling fans and your great support of @AEW, I’m grateful to now be the longest-tenured CEO in pro wrestling.
Thank you very much to every single person who watches @AEWonTV!

*TONIGHT*!— Tony Khan (@TonyKhan) July 22, 2022
The AEW owner thanked all the fans who watch their shows, i.e. Wednesday night Dynamite and Friday night Rampage. This was a dig taken at McMahon by Khan amidst the current WWE vs AEW rating war.
Vince McMahon ran the WWE ship for four decades and made the company the topmost in the business. However, in the case of active CEO, Tony Khan is the longest-tenured AEW CEO for almost four years, as Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan will be Co-CEOs of WWE.
At 77, time for me to retire.
Thank you, WWE Universe.
Then. Now. Forever. Together. #WWE #thankful— Vince McMahon (@VinceMcMahon) July 22, 2022
All eyes will be on WWE now for running the company in the post-Vince era. Tony Khan will definitely try to captivate this period as WWE will now have to rebuild a few things behind the curtains for smooth functioning. Also, fans might see few changes in the product henceforth.
