AEW has revolutionized pro-wrestling in just two years of their existence. Tony Khan kicked open the Forbidden Door and crossovers between AEW, NJPW, and Impact Wrestling Stars became a regular affair. And now, reigning WWE Champion Big E has joined the bandwagon, and dropped some major hints on a potential AEW-WWE crossover.

WWE isn’t the dream land for pro wrestlers anymore. In fact, the who’s who of WWE also left in recent months to join AEW. A few stars include, Bryan Danielson aka Daniel Bryan, Paul Wight aka Big Show, Christian Cage, Mark Henry and more.

Pro-wrestling fans are started to realize that the forbidden door is a blessing in disguise. It gives them a chance to watch wrestlers from promotions that might have never seen before. And of course, gives birth to dream matches.

WWE Champion Big E is positive of AEW partnership

The reigning champ appeared in an interview on Robbie Fox’s ‘My Mom’s Basement podcast‘ where they discussed everything about wrestling.

During the interview, the ‘Powerhouse of Positivity‘ discussed a potential WWE-AEW partnership in the future. Big E seemed happy with the question and said that he loves to have a competition and he knows that people work better in pressure.

He said, “If that’s how you feel, do your thing. I’m all for it. Speaking for me, I think competition makes everyone better. I have friends over there. I have people who I think are incredibly talented, might not be friends, but I’m a fan of so much that is going on over there.”

“I’m glad fans are engaged. It’s not my thing, but do you. People love pot-stirring and it’s interesting. I don’t know if it’s ever feasible, but is that forbidden door going to be open here, between us and them, that would be incredible. Something like that I think would be really interesting.” he said.

Big E isn’t the only one who has supported the idea of a WWE-AEW crossover. Former AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, had also expressed his willingness to work with WWE in the future if the opportunity arises. Although for now, it’s just a dream and won’t be a reality at least for the next few years.
