Another former WWE superstar is gearing up for his in-ring return. However, he doesn’t plan to do it in familiar territory. The Jacksonville-based promotion is filled with pro wrestling stars who have worked with the sports entertainment juggernaut at some point in their life. At next week’s edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite, once again an ex-WWE employee will return to the AEW ring.
The superstar we are talking about is Paul Wight (who gained popularity as Big Show in the Stamford-based promotion.) While this should have been a piece of exciting news for the fans, the wrestling universe did not take kindly to the announcement.

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega have been beefing with The Don Callis family for quite some time now. This week on Dynamite, Callis challenged The Golden Jets for a Street Fight match. Since Callis’ team has the numbers advantage, Jericho and Omega called for some backup for next week.
Omega revealed that Kota Ibushi will be partnering with them for the match next week. Jericho also introduced White as their other partner for the Street Fight Match on 11/15 Dynamite. Wight has been a part of AEW for almost three years. However, his in-ring appearances have come sporadically.
Is Wight too old to fight anymore?
In January 2021, Wight parted ways with WWE. He cited creative frustrations as the reasons for his departure from the company. In February 2021, he signed a contract with AEW. He has not had many fights since he arrived on the promotion. But AEW is looking to change it.

The wrestling universe is not interested in seeing Wight wrestle again. In his prime days, he was a major attraction. But since his depleting age, the wrestling crowd has also started losing interest in him.
Why is he still doing this
