The wrestling world, be it WWE or any other promotion, has a huge penchant for shocking debuts and returns. These instances are known to have the loudest pops and could lead to an instant surge in ratings. A well-planned debut adds to the shock value and builds fans’ intrigue with the product. All Elite Wrestling is always two steps ahead of its fans by offering intriguing debuts and returns on a regular basis.
This was the case in this week’s AEW dynamite edition as well. AEW wrestler Jay Lethal had teased the arrival of his old friend ahead of his match against Darby Allin this week. And the advertised debut did not disappoint as former WCW and WWE wrestler Jeff Jarrett attacked Darby Allin.

During the match, Allin was initially attacked by a Sting Imposter later revealed as Cole Karter. He cost Allin the match and started a collective beatdown for the former AEW TNT Champion. Sting’s music hit but it was not what the fans have come to associate with as Jeff Jarrett appeared from behind and attacked Allin with his trademark guitar.

Furthermore, Double J would then go ahead and mock a battered Allin as he said, “Darby Allin, you just got a lesson from the last outlaw. You ask what that lesson is, Darby, whatever you worship it becomes your weakness. You wanna worship the icon Sting? well, it’s become very obvious that he has become your weakness.”
