Just a few days ago, AEW President Tony Khan called out Triple H and Vince McMahon as the two top wrestling promotions headed toward the Tuesday Night War on September 10. It seems like Becky Lynch didn’t appreciate Khan embarrassing her bosses in front of the public and chose to retaliate.

Promoting her new project, she took a shot at Khan in a savage style, thus killing two birds with one stone. Continuing reading to find out how Lynch exacted her revenge on Khan.

Going to her Instagram account, Becky Lynch shared a picture of Tony Khan holding her new memoir, “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl”. The picture was edited, which means she intentionally shared it as a dig at the AEW President.

The book will officially hit the market on March 26, 2024. However, fans in the US can pre-order it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-a-Million, and Bookshop. UK fans can pre-order it on Amazon and Waterstones.

Lynch’s new book explores her early wrestling career, from humble beginnings to meteoric fame. The book also does a deep dive into Lynch’s childhood right from when she was born in Dublin, Ireland, as Rebecca Quin, a rough-housing kid who made her mother worry, to the star wrestler she is today. The official book summary notes, “hosting secret parties while her parents were away, enrolling in a warehouse wrestling school, nearly breaking her neck and almost kneecapping a WWE star before her own wrestling career even began – and she was always in search of a thrilling escape from the ordinary.”

Her love for wrestling early on has been reflected several times throughout her career, specifically in taking jibes at people that she perceives to be insulting the people she respects. Through journal entries over the decades, Rebecca’s memoir is a glimpse into a raw and genuine portrait of “the complex woman behind the character Rebecca Quin.”

Now going back to why exactly Lynch took a jibe at Khan. It was probably because just a few days ago, the latter called out HHH and McMahon. This implies that Lynch is angry at Khan for doing so.

Tony Khan insulted Triple H and Vince McMahon

Khan has always been very competitive. Speaking of which, just a few days before the highly anticipated Tuesday Night War between AEW and WWE, he decided to reply to a few fan tweets. A user commented that he won’t watch AEW but WWE, and Khan got into a battle of words with him.

In the end, he resorted to calling out Vince McMahon for his alleged misdeeds to hit back at another fan with a cruel response. A similar case happened again when he called out ‘Hunter’ on social media. To establish the superiority of his own promotion, Khan indirectly insulted HHH in his tweet.

He wrote a special message “for them,” a few hours before the Tuesday Night War where “them” was clearly the WWE higher-ups, wherein he called the WWE Creative Head a ‘Bald A*****e’. He made big claims in his post, stating that AEW would crush WWE in terms of rating.

But that didn’t happen. A report that recently came out suggests that WWE left AEW way behind in terms of TV ratings on the Tuesday Night Wars. According to the ratings game, WWE seems to have proven to the smaller promotion just how big of an advantage they had, thanks to fans flocking to watch NXT over AEW’s Dynamite. Leveraging over 312,000 more viewers on NXT than Dynamite, with the developmental brand recording 921,000 viewers and Dynamite only 609,000 viewers, WWE really outclasses AEW in this war.
