After reports that the company’s talks with Sasha Banks ended in disappointment, Triple H and WWE may be on their way to losing another star from their roster. NXT UK star might be heading to AEW

According to reports by Fightful Select, former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo recently held talks with AEW. It is stated that Purrazzo’s contract will be ending in 2024. Following this, she will be a free agent. As per reports from a few weeks ago, it was stated that many promotions are interested in securing her. One such promotion was stated to be AEW.

During her time at WWE, she was a part of the NXT roster and occasionally appeared on Raw. During her time at WWE, she challenged Rhea Ripley when The Eradicator was the NXT UK Women’s Champion. The match was not in her favor as she lost at the hands of Ripley. Apart from that she had occasional encounters with Asuka, Shotzi Blackheart, and Tegan Nox.

Currently, she has been a part of the independent circuit since 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was revealed that the star decided to part ways with the company. Since then, she has been a part of TNA Impact Wrestling. Along with that, she was also seen on Ring of Honor and occasionally at AEW as well.

Why Sasha Banks and Triple H did not strike a deal?

Sasha Banks or Mercedes Mone’s next move in pro wrestling has been in talks for a long time. It was stated in August that talks between Banks and AEW are heading in the right direction and the star might debut on the AEW roster soon. However, as December came, the needle shifted to WWE. There was a strong speculation that Banks would head to WWE. However, Triple H might have decided to back off due to one condition posed by her.

The reason why the talks did not come to fruition might be due to the terms and conditions Banks wanted. As per reports, The Boss wanted her pay the same as that of Charlotte Flair. It is stated that CharlotteFlair is currently the highest-paid female star in the history of the company. Apart from that, it is also reported that Flair enjoys other perks such as a private tour bus amongst the others. It is believed that it might be a possible factor in Banks not returning to WWE.
