The AEW All In London 2024 event was a night full of unforgettable moments and impressive matches, one highlight being Ricochet’s surprise debut in the company. Following his departure from WWE, Ricochet made his first appearance in AEW at All In during the Casino Gauntlet Match at Wembley Stadium. He demonstrated his skill and charisma there, quickly becoming the center of attention. The audience greeted his arrival with great enthusiasm.

They were surely all hyped up and captivated by the high flyer’s impressive performance. However, it seems like this bold move of his might send some shockwaves toward his fiancé, Samantha Irvin, through a shock move by Big Bronson Reed. Reed has been on a rampage very similar to Mark Henry’s Hall of Pain run. The gigantic WWE star is wrecking every superstar who comes under his radar. So according to WWE legend Bully Ray on The Busted Open Podcast, Reed might target Irvin next to provide a shock value to his character and make him more hated by the WWE Universe.

He said, “You have to do, you have to imply the violence or actually do the violence of the splash to somebody that would shock people. They would look on in horror. They would not believe it. And somebody that would probably get you a definitive boo. Who is it? I’m thinking really outside the box. Samantha Irvin.” But while his co-host believed that would rob the WWE of a ring announcer for months, it would make the most sense, as per Bully Ray.

Bully Ray further added, “Here’s what I understand. I understand that. Here’s what I’m saying. Like, could you imagine Bronson Reed in a match with somebody and Bronson Reed wins the match? And Samantha Irvin says, and the winner of the match. She says the wrong person by mistake. And Bronson Reed goes out there and grabs her by the wrist, you know, and she faints. And he picks her up, like kind of like King Kong picked up. You know, uh, uh, J-Ray. Whoever that, yeah. And rolls her in the ring, and now she’s in position, right? Right there[…]”

When Ricochet quit the WWE, many expected a move to AEW for the former WWE Speed Champion. Fans also speculated that if Ricochet joins the Jacksonville-based promotion, Samantha Irivin might join her partner in the move. However, that did not happen. But what does destiny have in plans for Ricochet? Will he have another classic against Will Ospreay for the AEW International Championship?

Will Ospreay reacts to Ricochet’s AEW debut

During the press conference after AEW All In, Will Ospreay was questioned about the possibility of facing Ricochet now that they are both in AEW. Ospreay, who had a memorable match with Ricochet at the Best of the Super Juniors eight years ago, commented on Ricochet’s debut, acknowledging the excitement surrounding his arrival, but stressed that the former WWE star still has a lot to prove before earning a shot at the AEW International Championship.

Ospreay noted that while both wrestlers have followed different paths since that matchup in Japan, he’s interested to see how Ricochet performs in AEW. However, he made it clear that the high flyer will have to work hard to earn the right to challenge him for the title. He said, “I mean, man’s got to work for it though. There’s a long list of people that he’s going to have to beat before he can call out the International champion. But honestly, mate, I think it’s been eight years since that Best of the Super Juniors match, and we’ve both gone in our separate directions.”

The Aerial Assassin further added, “We’ve both done well, but now he’s under this microscope. And maybe, just maybe, I just called him out all those times, just to see if he’s got any bollocks. And he’s shown up, right? He’s shown up. So I like to see what he’s going to be doing here in AEW. I’m excited, and I’m really, really happy for him.” With this debut, the door is open for a possible confrontation between two of the most dynamic wrestlers in the world, which promises to be a match that will capture the attention of All Elite Wrestling fans.
