Darby Allin is the face of TNT as he is the defending TNT Champion. Fans have always compared the unusual skateboarding superstar to Sting, even when ‘The Icon’ wasn’t signed to AEW. Now that Sting has officially joined AEW; fans are wondering if it will lead to something between him and Darby Allin.

Darby Allin talks about Sting

In an interview with Sportskeeda earlier this week, Darby Allin discussed a variety of topics all the way from winning the TNT Championship to talking about Sting and his plans for the future.

Darby Allin was asked if he was ever a fan of Sting; he admitted that he had not seen ‘The Icon’ work in WCW or hadn’t seen any real wrestling growing up, but as he saw Sting’s work as he got older, he said it instantly captivated him towards ‘The Franchise.’

“Sting was one of those guys that captivated me as a performer. He had a lot of interesting traits in himself that I gravitated towards big time,” said Allin.

They also asked Darby if Sting will ever wrestle again. He said he has no clue about what the health status is of Sting. Plus, he has no idea what ‘The Icon’ wants to do in AEW, but he hinted at a potential match between the two.

Allin said, “I have no clue. I don’t know what his health’s like. I don’t know what he wants to do, but if he wants to get in the ring with me, I’m ready. If he’s ready, I’m ready.”

The TNT Champion also spoke about the possibility of having Sting as his manager. “Absolutely! But I don’t know what his intentions are.

“I don’t know if he wanted to manage me. I don’t know if I’m manageable. Everything is week by week, anything could change.”

Darby Allin also commented on a possible cinematic match between him and Sting. “Like I said, if he’s game, I’m game. I’ve never done a cinematic match, but if you look at my promos, I’m definitely up for the challenge.

“I guarantee I’d give you the most crazy cinematic match of all time.”

Sting and Darby Allin definitely have similarities, and the way the two have crossed paths on AEW TV, it won’t be long till we see a feud or alliance form between both men who love to sit and watch from the rafters.
