Former WWE Superstar and current AEW star Chris Jericho took the fans on a trip down memory lane when he posted an image from his WWE debut on Twitter. The Y2J of WWE debuted for WWE on August 9, 1999, which was 22 years ago. Jericho, who is well known for his charismatic character, has won multiple titles at WCW, WWE and AEW. These titles that he won at various wrestling brands are firm proof to consider Y2J as one of the best wrestlers of all time.

Chris Jericho posts his WWE debut anniversary tweet

Chris Jericho made his debut 22 years back on the same day as he confronted the people’s champ, The Rock. Jericho self-proclaimed that he is the new hero of WWE and is here to save the company. Jericho cut an intense promo in front of a jam-packed arena and declared that RAW is Jericho. The Rock cut Jericho’s momentum shot as the people’s champ countered Jericho with his usual popular lines.

The debut of Chris Jericho is so iconic that wrestling fans are still watching it on streaming platforms. Jericho shared an image from his debut on Twitter, marking his WWE Anniversary. Fans were excited to see Jericho’s tweet as it instantly took them on a trip down memory lane.

Still going strong!

Jericho is still going strong after wrestling for over two decades, and it looks like no one can stop Y2J. After making his last appearance for WWE in 2018, Jericho joined a newly formed wrestling organization called AEW in 2019. The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla became the inaugural AEW World Champion and carried the title for over a year. Unfortunately, Jericho lost his title to Jon Moxley in 2020, and Y2J is currently having a fierce rivalry with AEW Superstar MJF.

The Career of Chris Jericho has produced several iconic moments for wrestling fans to cherish upon. From winning his first WWF Intercontinental Championship to his infamous storyline with WWE Superstar Kevin Owens, Chris has been part of some of the best stories in WWE’s history. Therefore, WWE Universe still loves him adorably even after joining AEW, which is now considered a rival to WWE.
