In the past, several former WWE stars have opened the forbidden door by signing with AEW. But recently, Cody Rhodes surprised everyone by switching from AEW to WWE. Now, another AEW star, MJF, is very likely to make the similar switch in the future.

As of now, Maxwell Jacob Friedman is still All Elite. Recently, he competed in a match against Wardlow on AEW Double or Nothing. But prior to AEW Double or Nothing 2022, MJF did not show up for the meet & greet at AEW FanFest.

His absence from the meet & greet had raised major concerns about his AEW DoN appearance. However, MJF appeared at the AEW event to fight against Wardlow at this year’s AEW Double or Nothing.

Further, the match ended disappointingly for MJF and all his fans. Wardlow hit 10 power bombs on him before picking up a dominant victory over “The Salt of The Earth“.

Following the match, the AEW star got taken out on a stretcher and also required an oxygen mask. But the medical team had put the mask on MJF’s eyes. And this caught the attention of several fans.

Similarly, we have seen several stars making botches while performing moves inside the ring. Here, it looks like this one is a botch from the medical team.

“The Two Year Vet” has previously stated his desire to reach the top of the pro wrestling world. And this result will surely not please MJF. Also, the manner in which he lost might disappoint all his fans.

Moreover, there have been recent rumors about MJF and Tony Khan having some issues. It won’t be totally surprising that with his contract ending in a few years’ time, Maxwell Jacob Friedman might leave AEW for WWE.

Is MJF going to following in Cody Rhodes’ footsteps?

Cody Rhodes recently made the switch from AEW to WWE. And the 26-year-old wrestler might also do the same once his current AEW contract expires. Earlier, he praised Roman Reigns and his performances.

Soon after these comments from MJF, several individuals started speculating about MJF’s future.
