Pro-wrestling has become a worldwide phenomenon and several athletes from other sports are appearing in the business. Similarly, a major wrestling PPV recently saw a first-ever appearance of an NHL legend who even stepped into the ring during the match. Unfortunately, he had to go through the same fate as Shaquille O’Neal went in his AEW match.
50 -years-old Ice Hockey legend Darren McCarthy recently appeared on Impact Wrestling’s Sacrifice. He appeared during Bully Ray vs Tommy Dreamer’s match but it resulted in an unimaginable ending.

Darren McCarthy tried to go one-on-one with Bully Ray
The 50-year-old was in the front row watching Bully Ray vs Tommy Dreamer’s Busted Open match at Sacrifice PPV. The Busted Open match was a First Blood concept with all weapons legal while they fight.
While the match was on Bully Ray took a glass of beer from McCarthy’s hands and threw it on the NHL legend’s face. The four-time Stanley cup winner got angry and jumped over the barricade to confront Ray. After a few officials stopped him, they let him enter the ring. McCarthy and Ray threw a few punches at each other, but unfortunately, with some help, the WWE legend put McCarthy through a table.
IMPACT shared the video on Twitter writing, “.@bullyray5150 just powerbombed 4-time Stanley Cup winner @DarrenMcCarty4 THROUGH A TABLE! #Sacrifice”
Additionally, Bully Ray shared his displeasure with McCarthy stepping in the ring. He re-tweeted writing, “Never was a Hockey fan. Bunch of fake tough guys.#Sacrifice @IMPACTWRESTLING @BustedOpenRadio”

Well, this first appearance for the 50-year-old didn’t go as well as he might have thought. A couple of years ago, Shaq had a tag team match in AEW where Cody Rhodes had put him through the table. It seems pro-wrestling stars love putting athletes from other sports through tables.

To see McCarty be willing to do this at his age, nothing but respect for him (also because I'm afraid he'll punch me in the face if I don't say something positive)
