Brian Pillman is a name that many wrestling fans, especially from the 90s, will fondly remember. He was known as the ‘Loose Cannon’ and indeed was one! Pillman was one of the most meteoric superstars in pro wrestling history. He might not be with us today, but his son, Brian Pillman Jr. is taking his legacy forward.

Who is Brian Pillman Jr.?

Brian Pillman Jr. is the youngest of six children and the only son of the late great Brian Pillman. Pillman followed in his father’s footsteps very early in his life and played football in high school.

However, he did not attempt for the NFL or any other league drafts and chose to become a professional wrestler instead.

Brian Pillman Jr. is his ring name, while his real name is Brian Zachary Pillman. He wrestled under Lance Storm at the Storm Wrestling Academy and made his pro-wrestling debut for CZW in 2018 at age 25.

Since then, the young man from Cincinnati has worked his way into the business.

Later that year (2018), Pillman Jr. signed with MLW and debuted for the promotion by joining the New Hart Foundation promotion. As of this writing, Brian is a member of the MLW roster but regularly works AEW shows, particularly AEW Dark. However, that could change significantly as there are rumors of a WWE-MLW working partnership.

Young Brian has a similarity to his father when it comes to tag team wrestling as well. He is currently in a Tag Team with Griff Garrison as The Varsity Blonds on AEW programming. However, we don’t know if this tag team is limited to AEW shows only.

The young Pillman’s wrestling style is pretty similar to his father. In fact, his look and the feel around him gives us the real Brian Pillman vibe.

The only thing is – Pillman’s son is not a ‘Loose Cannon.’ Pillman Jr. has just started in the business, and we’re very sure he will be an asset to any company in the near future.
