Sasha Banks is one of the top professional wrestlers in the world. Upon leaving WWE controversially, she was away from the ring for several months. The wrestling fans are very much eager to see her have a wrestling match.
It may be in WWE or in any other promotion. Recently, there are rumors of ‘The Boss’ having a match at a major WrestleMania size pay-per-view next month.

For a few days, rumors started floating of Sasha Banks having a match at NJPW PPV WrestleKingdom 17. The mega event in Japan is on two days next month i.e. on January 4th, 2023, and Tokyo Dome and on January 21, 2023, at the Yokohama Arena.
According to PWInsider’s report covered by The Sports Rush, many expect The Boss to appear at the NJPW event WrestleKingdom 17 on January, 4th 2023. Several people thought she will return to WWE after some time, but it seems she is planning to go beyond Vince McMahon’s company.

Moreover, there is a high possibility of the 7-time Women’s Champion joining AEW as many ex-WWE stars have done. AEW and NJPW have a great working relationship which can lead to Banks’ debut in Tony Khan’s company.
Will The Boss join AEW?
Wrestling experts claim the former WWE superstar can join AEW as Saraya’s mystery partner. This might come on the AEW Dynamite, which is to be held on January 11, 2023, in Los Angeles in a tag team match against Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

Earlier this year in May, Sasha Banks, along with her tag partner Naomi while RAW was on air. They were women’s tag team champions, which they relinquished while leaving.
The Boss and Naomi were scheduled for a match which they refused to join because of the creative differences over their title run.
Furthermore, when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon took over the control of WWE, many expected her return. But it seems the negotiation isn’t happening yet or Banks might not be ready to join WWE for now.
Sasha Banks may face a former WWE superstar
A couple of days after rumors of Sasha Banks’ appearance on NJPW floated, the news of her possible opponent also came out. Her opponent is a former WWE superstar who was in the most memorable tag team with Asuka.
The former star is non-other than current IWGP Women’s Champion Kairi Sane. The former women’s tag team champion is the first ever IWGP Women’s Champion which she won a few weeks ago.

Kairi is set to defend her IWGP title against Tam Nakano at the Wrestle Kingdom PPV. Surprisingly, the Boss teased a match against Sane when she was in suspension for leaving WWE controversially.

The two former WWE stars faced each other on a 2020 episode of RAW where the latter picked up the win by disqualification. If their match is on the cards, we have to wait until the end of this month.
