AEW All In went bonkers last night at Wembley Stadium. They put on a true spectacle after promising to deliver a special event in what was their biggest show to date. By breaking into the 80k threshold in terms of the attendance numbers generated, Tony Khan has all the reason in the world to cheer about. However, that’s not how WWE fans look into the matter online.
With details about the actual attendance numbers coming to the surface, WWE fans have launched a brutal attack on AEW, trolling them on social media for their “fake numbers”.

While his brand was on course of breaking the all-time record set by WrestleMania 32 in 2016, it was still touch and go. Now, according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, he gave massive updates on whether AEW broke WWE’s record.
You can check out the tweet below:
81,035 would be the legitimate all-time paid attendance record for professional wrestling.

As he states, AEW’s numbers could break the highest-paid attendance record in wrestling history. If the numbers and stats are accurate, then it emerges as enormous news for the brand as they would have broken this number after being a relatively new company.
WWE WrestleMania 32 did an attendance of 101k (inflated) and the actual distributed tickets were 84k, both paid and free. However, it is believed their paid attendance stands at 79k. But if they actually managed over 81k, then AEW has actually created history. But unfortunately, AEW fans can’t rejoice as WWE fans are not willing to accept it.
“Empty Seats” WWE fans go in on AEW for their “lie”
It’s natural for two of the biggest organizations to have a stiff rivalry amongst them. But as companies usually inflate actual attendance numbers for a better image, the WWE universe has its concerns.
Some fans deemed a bold approach by citing the numbers as fake and a lie and launched their attack on AEW via Twitter.
Too much empty seat. Its fake numbers.

Nice of you to add the “would be” disclaimer because there is no a shot that it is accurate.

And you know it's not a real number, but you'll lie about it anyway.
— Alexios (@AlexiosMalakaa) August 27, 2023
The snarky comments continued as they mocked AEW’s other events, indicating that they would be running empty shows during their weekly broadcast.
What’s next now? We gonna hear about next Wembley show for the next year now while the main shows continue to not hit a million 😔

They'll be back to half empty arenas on Wednesday…

In addition, many were quick to point out that the upper decks at the Wembley Stadium were completely empty. Furthermore, and with so much capacity to fill, they refused to believe the numbers were real.
With that huge covered up section and a whole bunch of empty seats showing…I have a very hard time believing this #. But no matter what they were going to announce that they had the record…

Adding ‘paid’ makes it sound contrived, like they’re trying to elevate it over a less desirable event. Think 61*.
Dance around it all you want, when a general knowledge question is presented regarding the all-time attendance record for professional wrestling, it wasn’t tonight.
