Black Adam has created a huge buzz around the box office recently since its release on October 21st, 2022. The fans have praised Dwayne Johnson for his role as the Teth Adam even though the critics gave poor ratings.

However, a top AEW star recently shared his reaction to the Black Adam film. Moreover, he took a shot at the critics too.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF, is currently having the best time in AEW as the top wrestler. It seems MJF recently watched Dwayne Johnson’s dream project Black Adam, and it seems he loved the movie.

He wrote in his tweet, “I saw @TheRock new movie Black Adam last night. If you don’t like this movie you’re a disgusting poor.”

The 3-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner also took a shot at the critics for rating poorly the movie. As per the Rotten Tomatoes website, the film has a 39% of critics score and a 90% of audience score. This has angered many fans and one them is MJF.

Even Dwayne Johnson shared a tweet recently, about the audience rating rising up to 90%. This shows how much fans are in support of DJ. Also, this group is joined by the top AEW star who won this year’s Men’s Casino Ladder Match.

It seems this is the other side of MJF, which he expresses through maintaining his character. Furthermore, the AEW wrestler seems to be a fan of comic book characters.

Moreover, this can also be a sign that MJF wants to join the biggest wrestling promotion over Tony Khan’s AEW in the future. Despite being one of the biggest stars of AEW, he is heavily rumored to leave AEW for WWE in the near future. 

Dwayne Johnson watches AEW

A couple of years ago, in the year 2020, The Rock revealed about watching AEW whenever he gets a chance. The former WWE Champion said this in a QnA session which he shared on his Instagram story.

Luckily, WWE analyst Ryan Satin saved the story and shared it on his Twitter account. In the video, he said, “Do I watch AEW? Yeah, I watch AEW—of course, I do. I’m very happy for the success of that company because it’s always a good thing and it creates a hunger, which is good.”

Back in 2020, AEW was on a different level, unlike now, even though the situation around the world wasn’t good. Johnson also claimed having AEW in the business makes the industry interesting and full of opportunities for newer stars.

We all knew that DJ is a regular viewer of WWE. But this statement gave a hint that he is still closely watches wrestling. Also, in 2020, The Rock appeared on Impact Wrestling via video to induct Ken Shamrock into that company’s Hall of Fame.
