Coming off an explosive, instant-classic battle at WrestleMania’s biggest stage, you’d expect some salty feelings between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. After all, they’d just been through a hellacious war alongside their merciless opponents, Roman Reigns and The Rock. But in the aftermath, Rollins showed why he’s truly a visionary leader.
With sweat and pride still drenching their bodies, the drained Rollins pulled Rhodes aside and uttered four simple words that did not reach the television screen but were posted on X by WWE on TNT Sports: “It’s your time now baby.” At that moment, any remaining animosity washed away as the ultimate sign of respect.
Rhodes and Rollins fought valiantly but ultimately tasted defeat against Reigns and The Jabroni-beating, pie-eating, trailblazing, Brahma Bull himself, The Rock. Their monumental clash capped off Night One of WrestleMania XL in front of a rapturous Philly crowd.
