PWInsider broke the news of former AAA and Lucha Underground wrestler Sexy Star being hospitalized in Guatemala due to Appendicitis. They revealed Sexy Star was rushed to the hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain. She underwent an operation and will remain in the hospital for a few more weeks.

Robles Promotions had booked Sexy Star to appear at an event. However, she couldn’t make it due to this alarming health issue.

Luckily, appendicitis is pretty common and treated with immediate effect. This means Star won’t lose out a significant time away from the action.

For those unaware, Dulce Garcia aka Sexy Star is a multi-faceted athlete. She is not only well-known in the Mexican pro wrestling scene but also has interests in Boxing and MMA.

In fact, Garcia is undefeated in her professional boxing career so far, while she has faced defeat once in the MMA cage.

Garcia made headlines a few years ago for legitimately injuring Impact Wrestling’s Rosemary at TripleMania XV. Garcia aka Sexy Star put Rosemary in an armbar to pick up the submission win.

However, she didn’t let go of the hold even after Rosemary tapped out and eventually gave her multiple injuries.

These actions really damaged Sexy Star’s name in the pro-wrestling circuit. It even led to AAA stripping her off the Reinas de Reinas Championship. Majorly, this incident is why we haven’t seen the Luchadora in major American promotions.

However, other than the one incident, Garcia has been a mainstay in the Mexican circuit. Her time in AAA and Lucha Underground is easily accessible, and one can see what she brings to the table.
