Last week, WWE shifted all it’s programming (except NXT) from their Performance Centre to Amway Centre in Orlando. Dubbing the arena as “WWE ThunderDome,” the producers promised to put on a visual and virtual spectacle each week.
With advanced pyrotechnics, lasers, and LED boards for virtual fan interaction, we would say WWE is delivering on their promise. However, the expenses of ThunderDome were only speculated up till this point. Earlier, it was reported that the arena is on WWE’s lease till October for almost $500,000.

The promotion is paying at least $200,000 to rent the Amway Center. When broken down, it shows – WWE is currently paying $12,500 for Sunday events, $10,000 for Monday and Friday events, $7,500 for any other days they use the building, and $2,500 for dark days.
WWE now shoots their shows in the Amway Centre, starting with last week’s Friday Night SmackDown. The arena is definitely an upgrade from the Performance Centre.
