Athletes from one sport often support players and teams from another. American teenage sensation Coco Gauff similarly roots for the Miami Heat in the NBA and the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. While showing a keen interest in popular American sports, Gauff has never spoken much about her interest in soccer. However, with Lionel Messi‘s arrival in the United States, soccer’s popularity has gone off the charts.
Being a Miami local, it’s hard to look past a non-Miami sporting club for Gauff. With Lionel Messi’s addition to Inter Miami, Gauff does not need to look for any other club with the Argentine starring for her local club.
