Aryna Sabalenka‘s is shining brighter than a star! Sitting on the number one pedestal while doing great on and off the tennis court, things have just been great for the Belarusian tennis player. After storming out with a victory over Maria Sakkari in the first round of the WTA Finals, Sabalenka is also having a great time off the tennis court.

Nearly a week ago, she had the great moment of meeting a soccer legend in reality. While she was getting ready for the year-end championship, she got an opportunity to meet David Beckham in person. After heading off to a good start in the WTA Finals taking place in Mexico’s Cancun, she opened up about the out-of-the-blue run-in she had with the 48-year-old soccer legend in Miami.

Aryna Sabalenka opens up about meeting David Beckham 

The world’s number-one-ranked tennis player has started her WTA Finals campaign with a win by defeating the 8th-seeded Greek tennis player. Before getting ready for the next round, she sat down to have an interview with Tennis Channel, where Sabalenka took a moment to recall the amazing memory of meeting the co-owner of Inter Miami and a soccer veteran himself.

She said, “It was amazing. David is such a nice guy. It was really nice talking to him. It was quite funny. I literally just finished watching his Netflix show, & the next day I’m meeting David Beckham. How crazy is that? I was telling him ‘I just finished watching your show. It was amazing.’ It was a nice conversation with him.” 

Additionally, she emphasized how the unexpected encounter was both humorous and inspirational. She went on to say that they had an incredible conversation and discussed his hit Netflix documentary series, ‘Beckham’. With the way she opened up about the Miami meet-up, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that she had quite the fan-girl moment.

Sabalenka shared a glimpse of her meet-up with Beckham 

The 25-year-old Belarusian tennis player had the pleasure of meeting Beckham a few days ago in Miami. She took to her Instagram account to share a picture of them together. Along with that, she wrote, “Low Key Miami Morning.” 

Subsequently, even the co-owner of Inter-Miami commented on the post to share his take on the meetup.
