Gauff had an exemplary season this year. It included some of the best performances of her professional career thus far. However, Gauff’s impressive 2022 season came to an end with the longest losing streak of her young career—five matches. Before this point in her career on the junior circuit, the World no.7 tennis player had never lost more than three straight games.

Gauff was enthusiastic about supporting the United States Men’s National Team at the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Her brother, Cameron Gauff, was particularly excited about the match between the United States and England. Before the match, Coco took to TikTok and presented her specially created, patriotic-themed sneakers in the video with her brother.
