Team USA’s flag-bearers Coco Gauff and LeBron James braved through the rain to lead their nation in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. With this, the American tennis talent became the youngest ever to hoist her nation’s flag at the Games. Naturally, summer’s looking for Gauff. And there’s a cherry on top. The 20-year-old has also received support from her lover!
Gauff was recently presented with an adorable reaction from her boyfriend after kicking off festivities in Paris. The reigning US Open champion, along with compatriot LeBron, donned a special scarf and a white jacket to mark them as flag bearers of their home country. She later took to her official social media handle to upload an emotional post.
In an Instagram post, Gauff uploaded a series of snapshots that summarized moments when she hoisted her country’s flag. In hopes of praising the teen talent’s most laudable honor, Gauff’s boyfriend left a heartfelt comment under her post which read “Captain Co.” For the uninitiated, the World No. 1 has never explicitly revealed the name of her dating partner.

However, tennis fans speculate that it is Jalen Sera, a budding musician from her hometown, Atlanta. The tennis star has dropped bits and hints about her mysterious boyfriend in the past. In April, Gauff revealed that she’s engaged in a long-term commitment with him, stating it to be her “first real relationship” while talking to ‘TIME’.

Gauff’s love life looks to furnish her with comfort ahead of her mixed doubles opening-round showdown in Paris. However, her schedule won’t be easy. The American player will have to bring out her A-game as she gears up for multiple events at the Games.
Coco Gauff will feature in three events at the Paris Olympics
Coco Gauff is all set to showcase her talents at the Paris Olympics. The tennis sensation is scheduled to feature in three events – namely singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Starting off with the singles, the American will open her campaign against Australia’s Ajla Tomljanović.

In the first round of the doubles category, the pair of Gauff and compatriot Jessica Pegula will square off with Team Australia’s Ellen Perez and Daria Saville on Sunday, July 27. Later, the World No. 2 will join forces with team leader Taylor Fritz for a mixed doubles action against Argentine duo Nadia Podoroska and Maximo Gonzalez.
It is no surprise that Gauff is one of the favorites at the quadrennial event. After all, she is seeded at No. 2, followed by World No. 1 Iga Swiatek from Poland.
