The wholesome friendship between Serena Williams and Meghan Markle has been the talk of the town multiple times over the years. From being there to celebrate Markle’s baby shower to supporting her when things were tough for her, Williams has been her friend through and through. And as a true friend, Williams issued her warnings too. The tennis star once explained how difficult it gets when one is pregnant, so she told Markle to keep her well-being as the priority.

Markle, because of her celebrity status, always stayed on guard, but Williams understood the burden of that. And this was the advice she once gave her.

Serena Williams once gave Meghan Markle an important advice

Celebrity status obviously brings in a lot of love, but it also becomes the gateway for negative comments as well. And who can understand this better than Williams? Therefore, she felt bad for her friend Meghan Markle, who, irrespective of being pregnant, cared about others before her own self.

Recently, when a fan showed their appreciation for the Royal Couple in Twitter, another fan recalled the time when the 23-time Grand Slam champion advised Markle. Though this part has never been mentioned in the UK, five years ago, Williams gave an important piece of advice after meeting Markle. The Duchess of Sussex was pregnant at that point, and when they met, Williams asked, “How are you?”

But Meghan never answered and instead of that, she would ask about Williams’ well-being. And the ‘Queen of the Court’ obviously knew that Markle must have been going through a rough time.

So, she gave her a piece of advice and stated, “But then I say, Meghan, don’t always be so nice, after all you’re pregnant and your hormones are going crazy.” 

Their friendship has always been about supporting and uplifting each other. They have always had each other’s back and have trusted each other more than anyone else.

Prince Harry and Markle’s interview became a hot topic of debate all over the world. The couple talked about the struggles they had to go through in the royal family after they got married. However, it was also construed as criticism at the Royal Family for many.

To this, Williams sent a message and conveyed the fact the couple was trying to build a family, which can include friends too. She hoped that one day both parts of the family would understand what Prince Harry and Markle share is true love.
