Renowned Nepalese-American fashion designer Prabal Rana Gurung adored Venus Williams at the Met Gala 2021 in an Instagram post dated last year. Now, the former World No.1 shared this throwback post on her Instagram story, reminiscing about the event.

Venus Williams receives adulation from the ace designer
Praising Venus Williams, the ace designer wrote, “Not only is she stunning and beautiful, but also incredibly kind and thoughtful. That’s what makes her so special.” He extended his love to Venus and said she was the perfect date at the Met Gala.

The Met Gala celebrating ‘In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion’, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, witnessed attendees who flaunted some amazing themes. It was incredible to see how the star-studded red carpet reflected American individualism through fashion.
To create her Met Gala look, the seven-time Grand Slam winner collaborated with Gurung, who is intimately familiar with the industry and its history. She donned a crimson silk faille and a duchesse satin gown with ruffles and a flowing train. Williams completed the look with Swarovski’s bright green chandelier earrings, a stylish tiered hairdo, and a smokey eye.
