Back in 2013, she had another exchange with a fan, which later turned into serious banter. Notably, Navratilova posted a tweet regarding Beyonce and one of her songs. Later, a fan called out the popstar, saying she was not a role model for young girls. Then, Navratilova also got herself engaged in this conversation.

Notably, Navratilova shared an article where late American commentator Rush Limbaugh took a dig at Beyonce for some of the lyrics of her song, ‘Bow Down’; the title of the article was, ‘What the Beyoncé Farce Tells Us About Rush Limbaugh (Seriously)’

Replying to Navratilova’s tweet, a Twitter user wrote, “Limbaugh is stupid and Beyonce is certainly NOT someone who should be a role model for young girls. No substance there.”

Then, the former tennis player asked that person to explain why Beyonce was not a role model. In reply, the Twitter user talked about the singer dancing half naked on the stage, which according to that person was not a good example for young kids. In reply, Navratilova wrote, “for you to say Beyonce is not a good role model shows a lot where you are. I think you are completely wrong.”

The Twitter user, then further said, “portraying women as s** objects is demeaning to women.”
In which, Navratilova replied, “being se*y does not mean you are portraying women as s** objects.”

Then, the Twitter user mentioned Beyonce’s Superbowl performance in 2013. Moreover, the person called her outfit ‘Slu**y’. Then, Navratilova calmly said, “B is not slu**y and you need to stop calling people names on this site, thanks.”

Later, that person also talked about Beyonce receiving backlash after the Superbowl performance. In which, Navratilova replied, “I didn’t see any backlash, I thought she was great and you said her slu**y behavior so…”
Speaking about not being a role model, Navratilova then talked about Beyonce’s charity works. Despite that, the Twitter user did not change her opinion. In the end, Navratilova said, “seems to me you make up your mind without having facts and then keep the opinion when the facts are the other way???”

In recent times, Navratilova has become quite active on Twitter, as she often takes digs at the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series in support of the PGA Tour. Notably, many golfers are leaving the PGA Tour for the LIV Golf tour, presumably for more money. Safe to say, Navratilova did not like this.
