Yesterday, American teen sensation Coco Gauff suffered a pretty tough loss against Iga Swiatek in the women’s singles final at the French Open. Today, she and her partner Jessica Pegula suffered another devastating loss in the doubles event against the French pair, Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic.

Indeed, it was a tough loss for the American pair, particularly for Gauff, as she was probably recovering from the previous night’s loss. However, Mladenovic showed great sportsman spirit, as she consoled the American pair after the loss.
Kristina Mladenovic talked about Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula losing to Iga Swiatek
After the match, Mladenovic said, “You both lost to Iga, so in my opinion, both of you went all the way in singles.”

Notably, Pegula lost to Swiatek in the quarter-final and Gauff lost to the Pol in the final. In a way, Mladenovic was praising the American pair, as they both lost to the best player in the world right now. So, it was definitely a nice gesture from the French tennis star.
The American pair, Gauff, and Pegula started the match in great fashion, as they took the first set against the French pair 6-2. However, Mladenovic and Garcia came back pretty strong in the second set, as they won it 6-3. In the third set, the American pair completely lost control of the match, as their opponent played a really great set and the match. Meanwhile, it was a great moment for the French tennis stars and the French crowd.

What’s next for Gauff?
Despite losing back-to-back finals, this will be a huge confidence boost for the American tennis star. Last year, she reached the quarter-final, and this year she reached the final. Safe to say, she has been improving day by day.

Now, she will definitely try to carry forward this form in the grass-court season and the Wimbledon. Incidentally, Wimbledon has been one of her stronger tournaments. Two times she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon and maybe this time she could go further, just like she did in the French Open.
