Coco Gauff is leaving no chance to enjoy her year-end holiday period after clinching the WTA Finals title last week. After winning the season finale, Coco just wants to spend as much time as possible with boyfriend Jalen Sera. It’s evident from the couple’s presence at the recently concluded Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in California. The musical concert saw Coco having an unforgettable time with Jalen and her friends. However, she’s not done having fun just yet. How about some arcade gaming?
The 20-year-old has had a rollercoaster of a year to say the least. As if her worrying form in events like the Wimbledon, Canadian Open, Cincinnati Masters, and US Open wasn’t enough, her split from coach Brad Gilbert raised concerns among fans. In need of a quick revival, she joined forces with Matt Daly to improve her serving skills. Fortunately, this change reaped good results eventually. After getting a new-found confidence in her stroke-making ability, she proved her dominance in the China Open and lifted the trophy. However, the biggest proof of her return to form was the victory at the WTA Finals in Riyadh. She became the first American player in 10 years, after Serena Williams, to clinch the year-end title.

Basking in the glory of her massive success in Riyadh, Coco decided to go on a musical outing with BF Jalen Sera. The couple was seen having a blast at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, headed by none other than Tyler, the Creator, on the Dodger Stadium grounds. But being an enthusiast for adventure and thrills, Gauff chose to go on an arcade ride after enjoying her stint in the concert.
Taking to her Instagram, Gauff later revealed her inner arcade gamer by showing off an intense passion for Pac-Man series. “ya’ll can’t touch me in ms.pac man and galaga”, she wrote in her Instagram story, dated November 19th. Seems like she had a really good time playing Pac-Man/Galaga while acing it just like her performance on the tennis court. Which is evident from her confident description in the story. It suggests that she’s been trying her hands at arcade gaming for quite some time. As of now, whatever she’s doing is turning into gold so one can’t really doubt her skills in anyway possible.
Meanwhile, she must be feeling elated after her historic victory in Riyadh. It was also special because of the huge paycheck she received after lifting the trophy. On a funny note, she didn’t really have an idea of it in the first place. But when she did, Gauff was surprised while expressing her happiness.

Coco Gauff's $4.8 million win—Is she the next big thing in American tennis?
Have an interesting take?
For those unaware, the amount of prize money at the WTA Finals was the highest-ever in a women’s tennis competition. It even surpassed Ashleigh Barty’s $4.42 million prize money, five years ago. The overall prize pool comprised of $15.25 million for the participating players in Riyadh. It was $6.25 million more compared to last year’s WTA Finals in Cancun. Now speaking of the winner’s paycheck, Coco Gauff received a whopping $4.8 million. Obviously, she was spellbound after realizing how much she made after winning the season finale.
“I didn’t know, jeez! I knew it was some money but I didn’t know it was that much! It means a lot to me…4.8. Oh gosh. I hope I am one of the highest-paid female tennis players or athletes this year, that will be exciting. Honestly, I wanted to win this for myself, I didn’t know it was the prize cheque on this tour. I knew there was money but I never play for this. But that is cool!”, said an elated Gauff.

When asked about what she would do with so much money, she replied ,“I don’t know. I have bought a house and I don’t really know what else I want other than that. I am going to a musical festival next week. I am not someone who likes to spend a lot of money, to be honest. I don’t know what I will do with it. That’s a lot of money!”
Well, she might be confused on what to do with the paycheck, there’s still time to think and make plans about the same. After all, the next season is still few weeks away. It will be interesting to see how the young American tennis sensation will prepare for 2o25 when she steps back on the court. But again, that’s an afterthought for now. Her sole focus, at the moment, is to enjoy her precious time off the court after having a busy season – and she truly deserves too.
