Serena Williams about Venus’ pick
Both Serena and Venus are active on social media platforms. They like keeping their fans updated about their lives and sometimes they also indulge in fun conversations with their admirers. A few days back, Venus conducted a Q&A session on the Instagram handle of her clothing brand, EleVen. There a fan of her asked, “If you could have dinner with three players (past or present), who would you invite?”
To which Venus responded by mentioning sister Serena Williams, American Reilly Opelka, and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov. And wrote, “Sorry, just have to pick my best friends on tour.”

Upon stumbling on the former World no.1’s confessions, an overwhelmed Williams wrote, “Yes, please.” The 23 times Grand Slam champion while playing alongside her elder sister has claimed more than 20 double titles, out of which 14 came from majors. Further, they have brought America three Olympic gold medals.
What’s ahead for the Williams duo?
While Serena Williams made her singles come back in the grass courts of London, Venus is still to return to playing solo. She executed a brief run in the mixed doubles of Wimbledon along with former doubles world no.1 Jamie Murray.

The former world no.1s, after testing their luck on the grass, are now gearing up for some hard court-based action. Serena has already signed up for the two WTA 1000 events; to regain her form before the last Grand Slam of this season. She has enrolled for the Canadian and Cincinnati Masters. Whereas Venus recently took a wild card entry and will be present in Toronto competing for the same title as her sister.
