Elina Svitolina made an impressive comeback to the tennis realm after giving birth to her daughter Skai. She dumbfounded the world with her astounding performance at Wimbledon. Taking down world no.1, Iga Swiatek and seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams set a bar. However, this all started as a dream when she saw her inspiration, Andre Agassi, rising to glory as a kid. Then her vision got even more clear when she saw Venus and Serena Williams raising the bar.

After all those years and having a legacy of her own now, Svitolina has not forgotten about her idols. She recently talked about her beloved inspiration who led her to take up the tennis racquet for the first time.

The Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina stole everyone’s heart after performing exceedingly well at this year’s showpiece event in SW19. Though her run was cut short in the semi-finals and she could not attend Harry Styles’ concert, the Ukrainian player amused every single tennis enthusiast.

However, this motivation would not have come into being had it not been for her first idol, Andre Agassi. The eight-time Grand Slam champion became the reason for her love for tennis.

Recently, she took to her Instagram to answer a fan who wondered about her first tennis idol. Sharing a picture of Andre Agassi from his glorious years, she spoke volumes about her love for the tennis legend.

Agassi motivated Svitolina to pick up the racquet and make a career out of it. However, along with Andre Agassi, the Ukrainian tennis star has drawn inspiration from multiple WTA tennis stars.

Though she is still trying to win her maiden Grand Slam title, she has looked up to tennis stars like Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters to follow their lead. Apart from them, she is also motivated by Venus and Serena Williams, a source of inspiration for millions of people around the world, as she confessed how she looked up to them.
