Reacting to the amazing fan response, Gauff took to Instagram and posted a story on her official Instagram handle, saying, “I signed a lot of CG1s last night. (still a crazy feeling) I appreciate ya’ll for supporting me. Thank you.”

The American tennis sensation is the third seed at the tournament and has reached the quarterfinals. Recently, she had a commanding win over compatriot Hailey Baptiste.
