Serena Williams‘ former coach Rennae Stubbs was the first to call out Giorgi. The Italian screamed to celebrate a point she won after Venus Williams slipped on the grass. Although almost everyone in the stadium was worried about the American legend’s condition, Giorgi celebrated the point.

I honestly think that could be the lowest moment of her career!!!! And you NEVER want to see this face coming at you now! Come on Vee!

Martina Navratilova joined Rennae Stubbs in calling out Giorgi. The American legend was certainly unhappy with Giorgi’s reaction. The legends were disappointed by the Italian’s contempt and lack of empathy towards Williams. The 59-time Grand Slam champion tweeted, “WTAF?”

Regardless of Giorgi’s questionable behavior, Venus Williams did not hold any grudges against her in the post-match speech. Instead, the seven-time major champion hailed Giorgi for the fight she put up.
