Danielle Collins is currently living the last few days of her professional career. Earlier this year, the WTA veteran announced that she is looking forward to mark an end to her journey and is therefore playing every match like it is her last one. While everyone was amazed to realise that she will be going off with a massive win in Miami, it seems like she’s hungry for more.

After unbelievable performances in both Miami and Charleston, Collins is showing great signs of dominance on the clay courts as well. Although the tennis star had to experience an early exit in Madrid, she compensated it with her performance in Rome, as she made it to the semi-finals. Besides earning a spot in her upcoming showdown against Aryna Sabalenka, the 30-year-old also earned enough ranking points, as she stands on the verge of getting into the top 10 again.

Yes, you heard it right! The WTA star stands just one step beyond attaining immense glory, as she currently holds the 12th spot with a total of 3148 ranking points. If she manages to emerge victorious in the showdown against Sabalenka, the American would earn 650 points, surpassing Daria Kasatkina, Jelena Ostapenko and Ons Jabeur, to secure the 9th position.

This would help her relive the golden days she enjoyed back in 2022. The tennis star made it to the finals of the Australian Open, debuting in the top 10 and therefore achieving a career-high of 7th position. Now that she is set to turn things real once again, the challenge against Aryna Sabalenka still stands to be a tough hurdle to cross.
