The grass court season is up and running and the transition from clay to grass is looking smooth for some players. One amongst those is Emma Raducanu. After her Madrid Open exit in the first round, the young British sensation is primed and ready and has made her way into the quarter-finals of the WTA Nottingham. With just 2 steps away from a title, she will now be looking to add glory to her name.

On the other hand, her opponent, currently ranked 249 reached the quarterfinals by defeating Caroline Dolehide 7-6, 6-3, and Ashlyn Krueger 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. In the second round against Krueger, Jones won a close match, scoring 92 points to Krueger’s 89. She hit 43 winners, served 5 aces, and had 5 double faults.

Jones lost her serve 4 times but saved 6 break points. She landed 61% of her first serves, winning 75% of those points, and 44% of her second serve points. Jones broke Krueger’s serve 5 times, converting 56% of her break points.
