Diana Shnaider has had a busy tour in 2024. She began her stint at Brisbane International, where she lost to Mirra Andreeva in the first round. She had a similar stint in the Brisbane International, this time in three sets. A first-round exit also awaited her in the Australian Open final, but the Hua Hin Championships would give her great momentum as she won the championship.

In the Qatar Open, she reached the main draw after two qualifying rounds but lost in the first round. After a second-round exit to Maria Sakkari in the Indian Wells Masters, Shnaider played in the LTP Charleston Pro, where she reached the final, dropping only one set, but couldn’t pull ahead against Elisabetta Cocciaretto.

Williams began her 2024 season in the Indian Wells Masters against Nao Hibino. She managed to win the first set, increasing excitement about her return game, but Hibino was not one to stay down. She came back to fight in the second set, and she won it 6-3. In the third set, Hibino would become an even better player as she beat Williams with a bagel. The match ended with the score, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.
