Bianca Andreescu currently seems to be struggling with her physical status. Her recent showdown against Liudmila Samsonova started on a fine note but took a turn that not only placed her in a doubtful situation but also under immense pain. Her run for the title came out to be quite efficient as she secured notable wins over the likes of Naomi Osaka. Although Andreescu managed to extend a lead from the start, a back injury seems to have hindered her performance.

The title match at the WTA Den Bosch started on a fine note for Andreescu. Unleashing her dominance right from the start, she managed to secure the first set 6-4. Moving on to the next set, her rival turned the tables as she received a golden opportunity. The Candian appealed for medical assistance as she felt a sigh of pain in her back.

While expected to be a regular minor injury, her reduced flexibility gave out a completely dissimilar response. The fans, who were eagerly waiting for her to gesture a thumbs up, saw her lying down on the grass in order to seek quick aid. Spending a few minutes away from court, she managed to be back but the levels seemed to be compromised.
